Product Review: Lunker
Lure Vibratron Spinnerbait
Description:
The Lunker Lure Vibratron Spinnerbait comes in various sizes, and is
equipped with a three-chambered rattle and two blades. The Vibratron blade
is the trademark of the spinnerbait, and is it's most noticeable and
fish-attracting feature. The blade is shaped almost in a rectangle with the
bottom shaped like a twin-tailed plastic trailer, except the two 'tails' are
pointing in opposite directions.
Review: The
Vibratron has become a staple in my tacklebox. It has excellent
fish-attracting features built in, and works well in muddy, stained, and
clear water. During testing, the Vibratron produced back-to-back four pounders, a five pounder, and an eight pounder within half an hour.
The 1/2 ounce version produced, by far, the most fish. Smaller versions are
simply to light with the big blade attached, unless you desire super slow
retrieves near the surface.
The unique Vibratron
blade provides serious vibration, as the name implies. It also provides a
huge amount of lift, making it possible to burn the spinnerbait within 1
foot of the surface with slow speeds. Surprisingly, the Vibratron works best
when burned slowly close to the surface. This was the number one technique
used during testing. Slow-rolling is almost impossible.
This is a spinnerbait for all bodies of water, all water colors, and all
sizes of fish. Even an occasional bream would attack a bulky 1/2 ounce
Vibratron!
A light-colored 1/2
ounce Vibratron was the main producer during testing. It provided many, many
fish - the largest weighing 8 pounds.
The most outstanding
fish-catching feature of the Vibratron was, of course, the blade, but the
key was also in the retrieve. Because of the large amount of lift the blade
produces, 'burning' the lure close to the surface at slow speeds was
possible, and it turned out the be an excellent way to catch plenty bass of
all sizes.

The Breakdown:
Bass caught: many
bass were caught from clear water to muddy, from shallow water to deep. The
Vibratron produced larger fish and also small bass. It also produced two
four pound bass, one five pounder, and an eight pounder within 30 minutes at
one point during testing.
Innovation: The
innovative part of the Vibratron is the blade and the three rattles. Other
than that, it is a typical spinnerbait with a flashy skirt and excellent
paint job. The special blade is worth a lot!
Strength: Super
strong. The Vibratron is a very strong spinnerbait, but it was slightly bent
after battling a 8 pound bass. However, one lure caught over 50 bass without
breaking or being damaged.
Overall: A must buy.
This lure now has a permanent place in my tacklebox. Check it out!
