Product Review: Gamma Fluorocarbon Line

Description: Gamma Technology's Edge Fluorocarbon is
made using a very unique process which actually changes the molecules of
every yard of line. We reviewed line in 20, 12, and 8 pound tests.
Review: We were very impressed with Gamma's fluorocarbon line during
testing, noting the extreme toughness and zero
visibility. The twenty pound test version is practically unbreakable, and is
surprisingly limp. Many fluorocarbon lines are known for their stiffness, a
problem which Gamma has never experienced. Also notable is the low stretch
of Gamma, which provides for far better hooksets than using monofilament.
Eight pound test Gamma performed excellently as
well, and worked well on a spinning outfit. It was found to be limp enough
to perform well and tough enough to handle bigger fish.
Gamma also tended to "peel" far less than other
fluorocarbons which it was compared to. Only on occasion would this occur,
as compared to it happening often with other lines. The only problem
experienced with Gamma's fluorocarbon lines was in regard to the twelve
pound test. After a backlash, it would tend to break at the kinks. Note this
only occurred with the twelve pound test, and not with the other strengths.
