Stick Jacket Fishing Rod
Covers
Description: Made of a braided, tough polyethylene filament, Stick
Jacket fishing rod covers are elongated and fit snugly to most rod lengths
and sizes, and come in eight colors.
Review: Another impressive product! After
extensive field testing and abuse, our Stick Jackets are holding up just as
well as they did the first day of use. No fraying, no separation of strands,
and no holes. Hooks are easily removed from the product as well - hooks
embed themselves in between strands and won't pierce it, and thus are very
easily removed.
Stick Jackets are easily put on and taken off as well, thanks to a
reinforced and enlarged end piece which makes installation very simple, as
shown in this illustration. To install, merely hold the lower end of the
jacket and slide it over the rod tip and down to the reel. Removal is just
as simple, by grasping the end of the jacket and sliding it off. The entire
process takes mere seconds.
One thing which makes the Stick Jacket very good
to have on all rods is the fact that it protects the line and the guides
from damage. During travel, rods bump against each other and any other
objects around them, which can potentially nick line and damage the rod
itself. Stick Jackets effectively prevent this from occurring, which is very
important for the life of line and rod.
No angler appreciates opening up a rod box, attempting to pull out a rod,
and finding it tangled with five others. Hooks, line, and guides can all be
intertwined, making the first half hour of a fishing trip a nightmare trying
to get everything untangled and ready to fish. We have found that Stick
Jackets prevent this from happening by keeping each rod separate and free of
all other objects in the rod box.
